What is the Ancient Order of Hibernians In America?

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City on May 4, 1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization,
of the same name, which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years.

Membership in the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, Inc. is confined to men 16 years
and older who are practicing Roman Catholics of Irish birth or descent, and who are citizens of United States of America or who have declared their intentions to become citizens of the United States of America.

If you are interested in exploring Irish history, traditions, celebrations, language, and politics, the AOH is where you belong! The motto of our organization is "Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity". If you would like to look into joining the AOH, please contact any of the officers listed on this website, and someone will contact you shortly to further discuss the Order with you and determine your eligibility.

This is a picture that was taken at the Monthly HHP event that was held this past Saturday at the Braddock location of the GPFB "Produce to People". I would like to thank all the Hibernians and there families that showed up for the occasion. We were pleasantly surprised by our very own Bishop Zubick coming out to join us in handing out food to the 400 + families that received asisstance this month. During the Lenten season it was a pleasure to help out our neighbors and be joined by the Bishop who handed out Fish and spoke to everyone that came through the line.
