Caitlin O'Connor and Megan Willison


Miss Smiling Irish Eyes Queen for 2010 is Meghan Schiller, the daughter of Mary Catherine and Ray Schiller. Meghan is a junior at Carnegie Mellon University where she has double majors in Fine Arts Vocal Performance, and English. As a student, she has received numerous awards for academic achievement which include the Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Grant, the Eleanor Griffiths Jenks Grant, and Dean's List from 2007-2008.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Meghan has tapped a pride in her Irish heritage through musical performance. She performs Irish classical pieces at Irish themed weddings within the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocese. She cantors at her home church in the South Hills – St. Gabriel's of the Sorrowful Virgin. And for many years, she has marched in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Parade alongside her grandmother, Oakland 's Eleanor Joyce, with the Daughters of Erin.
Active in the community, Meghan is vice president of Social Standards for Delta Gamma Fraternity, and she has worked with the Pittsburgh School for the Blind to raise funds for “Service for Sight,” an organization that provides aid to the blind and visually impaired.

Court Maiden Caitlin O'Connor, the daughter of Glenn Patrick O'Connor and Noreen O'Donoghue, is from Allison Park, Pennsylvania. She is a senior at Oakland Catholic High School , where she has been on the honor roll, a member of student council, and is a standout player on the school's soccer team. Her great grandfather Michael O'Shea, was a president an organizer of the Irish Center of Pittsburgh . Her great uncle Thomas O'Donoghue was the owner of the Blarney Stone Restaurant in Etna. In the Irish community, Caitlin is an Irish step dancer with the Bell School of Irish Dance and has marched in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Parade for the past 11 years.
She is active with her church and community. As president of the Mission Club, she works to raise funds to travel to Mexico on a mission trip in April 2010. This would be her second mission trip. She has helped raise funds for orphanages in Africa , and serves as a Eucharistic minister at her church. Caitlin plans to attend the University of Dayton in Fall 2010.
Court Maiden Megan Willison, the daughter of Frances and Colleen Willison, is from Coraopolis , Pennsylvania . She is a senior at Montour High School , where she is a member of the National Honor Society and Olympiad team. She is a member of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), Interact, the Math Team, and Stage Crew. She aspires to become an archeologist and plans to study abroad in Ireland while in college. She has been a step dancer with the Pittsburgh Irish Reelers since 1998 and has danced at many events, including the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Parade. In addition, she is a student at the pre-professional dance program at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
As a volunteer in the community, Megan has taught at summer vacation bible schools and has participated in group work camps.
Miss Smiling Irish Eyes Queen for 2011 is Katherine Christoff, the daughter of Casey and Jennifer Christoff of Coraopolis. Katherine is a senior at Our Lady of Sacred Heart High School, where she is an honor student and a member of the National Honors Society.
Members of the Miss Smiling Irish Eyes 2011 Court are Maeve Montgomery and Megan Barrett.
Court maiden Maeve Montgomery, the daughter of Paul Montgomery and Amy Barrett-Montgomery of the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh . She is a senior at the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts High School, where she is an honor student. She is active in school plays and musicals.
Court Maiden Megan Barrett, the daughter of Kevin and Theresa Barrett of Wexford. She is a student at Slippery Rock University where she studies Early Childhood Education. Academic accomplishments include having been named to the Dean's List; receipt of the President's Award for Educational Excellence; receipt of the Distinguished Achievement Award for a Gold Medal on the National Latin Exam; and achievement of Summa Cum Laude honors from the National Junior Classical League and the American Classical League.
